Enable Players to be called by their 'known' names

Many of our members prefer to be addressed by their 'known' names versus their full first name.
For example most of our members have asked to be shown in reports etc as Bill vs William, others go by their middle names not their first

        Yeah, you are correct that you can put any name you like in the first name. However, there are times when it is important that the correct name be used for communications, for example the shareholders register etc.
        Being able to have the correct name but use a 'known name' at the club would fix this.

        Uniquely identifying members using their membership number would be better, but housekeeping the numbers would need to be better regarding past members.

        I think this is a usefl idea. We have a lot of members with identical names and even middle initials and an additional field of 'known name' or the like would help generally in identifying them in booking in lists etc. We kind of get round in by putting names in brakets as a middle initial but this is not elegant. It also raises the issue about HM uniquely identifying members by there names (cont:
