Confirming EGA Handicaps as "Active"

Handicaps may be marked as Inactive after an Annual Handicap Review, can we have the option of confirming players handicaps as active after an annual handicap review (as per EGA Handicap System Appendix B)
Also could we have the options to record adjustments of handicaps and to view and print a report of handicap adjustments as a result of the Annual Handicap Review.

We will endeavour to add an option to enter Annual Review Adjustments down to 0.5 minimum into our 2011 edition of HandicapMaster.

Thank you for highlighting this issue.

The wording in the EGA Handicap System book (2008 revision) is somewhat contradictory in that it suggests a minimum of 0.5 increase or decrease, but also requires the amendments to be made in accordance with clause 25 (which state that changes cannot be less than one whole stroke!).

We will investigate how we can work around this contradiction!

The only way to adjust players handicaps after AR up or down is by a "general play adjustment". This only allow you to adjust handicaps by one whole stroke, as per EGA system reg. 25.2.
It is a bit confusing because you are unable to increase players handicaps by the difference between a players ABHSS (Average of the Better Half of his Stableford Scores) and his EMSS (Expected Mean Stableford Score) as required by the EGA handicapping system.
